Description

Force password to expire in (days)

•If you are maintaining passwords internally within SpendMap, you can optionally force passwords to expire after a certain number of days. This will force users to select new passwords before being allowed to resume working in the system. Enter ZERO (0) for no expiration.

Start warning user of password expiration (days) in advance.

•If you are forcing internal passwords to expire using the previous setting, you can optionally start warning users a certain number of days in advance of the expiration date.

Password format must be

•You can optimally impose the following restrictions on internal passwords:

•Any Format – no restrictions

•Alphanumeric – characters and numbers

•Alpha Only – only characters

•Numeric Only – only numbers

•Case Sensitive?  If checked (), passwords are stored with both upper and lower case characters. If unchecked, case sensitivity is ignored.

•Must include mixed Case?  If you enabled case sensitivity using the previous setting, you can optionally specify that passwords must include at least one upper and one lower case character.

•Must include special characters?  You can optionally specify that passwords must include at least one of the following special characters:
`~!@#$%^&*()_-+=[]{}\|;:'",.<>/?

Minimum password length (1 to 30)

•You can specify a minimum length for internal passwords, from 1-30 characters.

Do not allow password re-use in less than (#) password generations.

•You can optionally prohibit the re-use of previously used passwords, up to 9 password generations.

•Enter zero (0) do disable this feature.

Enable two-step authentication

If enabled, when new users log in to the web-based version of SpendMap, they will be prompted to enter a one-time code, which will be emailed to the user's email address in the User Master File.

Note: requires cookies to be enabled in the web browser.

Allow automatic login as current Windows User ID? (No password required)

•Check this box to allow users to log in to the Desktop Application without having to enter a user ID and password. That is, as soon as they launch the application from their desktops, they will be brought to the Main Menu.

•Then, enter the Windows User ID in the [NAME/ADDRESS] Tab of the User Master File for the users that will use this feature.

•If this feature has been enabled, since you may not necessarily specify a Windows User ID for all users (i.e. some users may need to enter an ID and password to login), the balance of the settings related to internal password management (above) will only apply to users that are not using automatic login.

•The use of Active Directory overrides/negates Automatic Login.

•The Web App and the Mobile Web App do not support this feature (although they do support Active Directory integration).
